About All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants from Nobel Biocare™ offer an innovative way to replace lost teeth in either the entire upper or the entire lower arch. The way it works is that a qualified dentist will place either four or six titanium posts that will be used to support the arch of false teeth. When compared to individual implants, All-on-6 or All-on-4 use fewer posts but still provide enough stability to support a whole arch. ACE Dental of Cove is proud to offer this alternative to dentures that is less invasive than traditional implants. If you are missing most or all of your teeth and would like to look into implant dentistry, contact our Copperas Cove, TX location to get more information about All-on-6 or All-on-4 dental implants.

Are You a Candidate for All-on-4 or All-on-6?

You may be a good candidate for All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants if you have lost all or most teeth in your lower arch, upper arch, or both. It may also work for you if you are looking for a more permanent option to removable dentures. These titanium implants are surgically placed, and they integrate into the jawbone over time, providing secure replacement teeth to allow you to smile and eat without worry. Best of all, All-on-4 implants can even be placed in patients with bone loss, making this an excellent solution. If you have certain dental or medical conditions or if you use tobacco products, you may not be a good candidate for dental implants.

What to Expect with All-on-6 or All-on-4

Before your All-on-6 or All-on-4 treatment begins, one of our dentists will evaluate digital x-rays and 3-dimensional scans of your mouth. Depending on your circumstances, we will craft a plan of action, including possible extraction of any remaining teeth, and whether or not you’d like nitrous oxide sedation during the procedure. Your dentist will numb the designated areas using a local anesthetic, then surgically place four or six titanium implants along your dental arch. Your permanent restorations will not be available for placement until the post implantation has healed so you will likely receive a temporary full-arch replacement while the implants heal. After several months, once your implants have healed, permanent fixed restorations will be attached to the implants.

Recovery Following All-on-4 or All-on-6

After your implants have been placed, your mouth will likely be swollen and sore. Ice packs and over-the-counter pain medication can ease your discomfort during this time, or one of our dentists may write you a prescription for pain medicine. Someone on our staff will provide detailed instructions about how you should care for your mouth as you heal, including faithful at-home dental care with daily brushing and flossing. You should also continue to schedule regular dental cleanings at ACE Dental of Cove where we use special instruments designed for use with implants. During these visits, we will monitor your healing and let you know when it is time for your permanent restorations.

Insurance Coverage for Implants

All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants may be partially covered by your dental insurance. A member of our business team will get in touch with your insurance provider to get the most out of your coverage and estimate your out-of-pocket expenses. If you don’t have dental insurance, ACE Dental of Cove accepts multiple payment methods and can help you receive low-interest medical financing.
